Equipment Rental Program
Equipment Rental Program
What this program includes Sandpiper Technologies Inc. rents its fleet of video inspection systems and fuel cells. The program allows Clients trial use of video equipment on a short-term basis before committing to an outright purchase or provides use of equipment for special short-term needs. The Client pays for shipping both ways. The shipping time is not included when calculating the rental period, so the 7-day rental period starts at the time the equipment is delivered to the Client's door and ends the day the equipment is assigned to a shipping carrier.
All systems are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Renters receive a manual of instructions and technical support. This equipment is also used in the Student Grant Program.
Rental Credit
Once a Client has rented a system, 50% of the rental fee may be applied towards purchase of a new system. There is no time limit on using this rental credit, and the rental credit cannot be transferred. Sentinel Fuel Cell renters may use the new Rent-to-Own Program, which provides a 100% rental credit when the fuel cell is purchased within the trial period. Otherwise, the standard 50% rental credit applies to fuel cell purchases.
NOTE: Shipping costs, waiver fees, insurance and hazardous materials fees are not included in the rental credit.
How to apply
- Contact Sandpiper Technologies to check for availability of equipment.
- Mail or fax (209-239-1571) the rental agreement to STI.

- A $500 security deposit and prepayment of the shipping and rental fees is required. Send a separate check for the deposit since this will be sent back to the Client once the rental equipment is returned safely. The $500 deposit is waived when the Client provides a valid Visa/Master Card.
Rental Rates
All video systems rent for $625 per week and $2,315 per month. Video system rentals must be at least one week. Call for quote to rent for the entire field season.
Shipping, damage waiver, hazardous materials fees, sales tax and other costs are calculated separately, and are not included in the rental credit.

Peeper(tm) Video Burrow Probe System
Includes 3-meter gooseneck probe, head mounted display monitor, Pelican case, battery, charger. Probes are available in 2.3-inch or 1.0-inch diameters. Discuss your project with Sandpiper Technical Support to determine which probe will best suit your research requirements.
TreeTop Peeper Video Telescoping Systems
Includes video camera, monitor, pole, battery, charger. Available in cabled or wireless configurations. Camera options include monochrome cavity camera, color cavity camera or IR camera. Pole lengths are 16, 35 or 50 feet. Contact Sandpiper for available configurations.
