October 1, 1997 Equipment Grants announcement Grants available to wildlife biology graduate students Christensen Designs is offering cash grants and free equipment rentals to wildlife biology graduate students. "We find that the best way our company can support wildlife research is to offer our video equipment to students to support their work," commented Ann Christensen, program administrator. "This can provide the student with new insights into the species they're studying. Sometimes, with the aid of pictures, the researchers can obtain further funding. "Whenever our rental units are not busy, we happily make these systems available to graudate students," she explained. "In addition to offering free equipment use, we plan to make a number of small cash grants available." Located 75 miles east of San Francisco, Christensen Designs has worked with wildlife researchers for the past four years, developing a variety of video equipment, infrared-triggered cameras, solar kits and audio mimicry technology.
