Smart Fuel Cell AG EFOY Fuel Cells - Energy for You (EFOY)
For remote, mobile, portable, covert and off-grid power the new EFOY product family of fuel cells - the successor to the successful SFC-A50 fuel cell. Now users can select between three fuel cell models with various levels of performance for powering their electrical devices: EFOY 1600, EFOY 1200, and EFOY 600 (with a charging capacity of 1.6 kWh, 1.2 kWh, resp. 0.6 KWh per day). The EFOY family's top model, the EFOY 1600 exhibits a 33 percent increase in power output over its predecessor.

The new EFOY Fuel Cell product family is result of the experiences and ideas of our customers from three years of using our fuel cells in the most diverse applications. Now we can offer three fuel cell models with different levels of performance, each of which represents a perfect all-round carefree energy solution for the user.
Sandpiper EFOY Fuel Cells
Wildlife researchers, surveyors, forest fire fighters--virtually anybody using 12-volt battery powered equipment in remote areas--will find the Sentinel Fuel Cell Remote Power System extremely reliable in powering video equipment, GPS equipment, laptop computers and other research tools. The Sentinel Fuel Cell is the latest remote power innovation from Sandpiper Technologies. Sandpiper is the recognized leader in the wildlife research community for incorporating new technologies into its fleet of wildlife video equipment and this fuel cell is among a series of innovations in its Remote Power product line.
When we saw this methanol fuel cell we knew it would have a huge impact for our researchers operating equipment in remote areas. Not only did the fuel cell offer a lightweight alternative to deep cycle marine batteries, but it was an environmentally friendly approach to energy management. We worked with the manufacturers at the developmental stage to assure that our researchers would have full advantage of this technology.
The Sandpiper Fuel Cell Remote Power Systems are easy-to-use and come with a self-contained portable 25W, 50W or 65 watt 12 Volt Direct Methanol EFOY Fuel Cell. The EFOY Fuel Cell System is rugged, reliable, virtually quiet and easy to deploy. This system may be used as a fully automatic battery charger.
The EFOY Fuel Cells are easily refueled with 5 liter, 10 liter or 28 liter methanol cassettes that simply drop into place and provide 4.5 Kilo-Watt-Hours, 9.1 Kilo-Watt-Hours or 25 Kilo-Watt-Hours respectively. The unique design allows this system to supply power even during fuel cassette changes! Fuel consumption varies with electrical demand and at full load.
Weight and Transportation: STI offers Fuel cartridges of 5 (<10 lbs), 10 (<19 lbs) liter or 28 (~53 lbs). Department of Transportation (DOT)- approved fuel cassettes, are shipped as hazardous material. The Sandpiper Fuel Cell Systems with fuel cassette removed is DOT approved for air freight and ships as nonhazardous material.

Sentinel Solar Charger
Biologists operating their Sentinel Systems in remote locations use solar chargers to extend the number of days they can deploy a battery. The amount of sunlight available at any given locale determines the number of watt-hours generated. The Sentinel Solar Charger is available as a 30 watt unit and its rugged case allows for safe transport and easy deployment. The charging regulator prevents overcharge of battery in bright sunlight and prevents energy loss from battery during periods of darkness. Solar Charger systems include the following warranties: One-year warranty on case. 5 year pro-rated warranty on solar cell and regulator.
