Sandpiper's Next Generation Fuel Cells - Energy for You (EFOY)
For remote, mobile and off-grid fuel cell requirements the new EFOY product family of fuel cells - the successor to the successful SFC A50 fuel cell. Now users can select between three fuel cell models with various levels of performance for powering their electrical devices: EFOY 1600, EFOY 1200, and EFOY 600 (with a charging capacity of 1.6 kWh, 1.2 kWh, resp. 0.6 KWh per day). The EFOY family's top model, the EFOY 1600 exhibits a 33 percent increase in power output over its predecessor.
Weight, sound emission and fuel consumption of the EFOY product family have been further reduced. With their innovative interactive remote control and improved software the new EFOY fuel cells have become even more user friendly.

Stockton Record - Sandpiper makes it easier to get bird's-eye view
John Christensen is no closer to retirement these days than he was when he walked away from his design engineering work at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in 1989 for health reasons.
In his last year at Livermore, Christensen was asked by a wildlife biologist there to develop a miniature robot that could carry a video camera into burrows.
When he retired, Christensen kept getting other requests from biologists wanting him to create specific equipment to help them monitor wildlife. Word spread with each project, especially when a biologist's publication mentioned Christensen's creation -- sort of the ultimate advertising, he said.
"We started this business sort of by accident," he said. "I was building things in my garage, and pretty soon, I outgrew my garage."

Wireless TreeTop Peeper 4 (WTT4)

TreeTop 4 Wireless 2.4 Ghz 4-Channel Master Receiver
This accessory receiver compliments the 2.4 Ghz WTT4 wireless video system. It is designed for monitoring the operation of any number of TreeTop 4 Wireless systems. You may select between multiple systems operating at the same time and location or automatically scan up to 4 systems. Use the receiver for group viewing and presentation; wireless video recording or central monitoring. Includes all cables to connect to your large monitor. Both 120 VAC and 12V power.

Battery Tester
The TreeTop electronics chassis includes improved camera voltage regulation AND a tri-color LED battery voltage monitor system. These indicators replace the single green "power on" light with three green, one yellow, and one red LED indicators. The indicators display the battery pack state-of-charge in a fashion not unlike an auto fuel gage. The green, green, green, yellow and red LEDs correspond to battery pack voltage of: >12.3 V; 12.2-11.8 V; 11.7-10.9 V; 10.8-10.6 V and <10.6 V respectively. Battery charge level is always quickly available and obvious.

Sentinel Day or Night Controller Accessory
Specifically designed for clients requiring either NIGHTTIME ONLY or DAYTIME ONLY video recording. This controller senses sunrise and sunset then starts and stops your Sentinel Video System (INCLUDING any attached accessories) to capture either daytime or nighttime intervals ONLY. FIELD selectable, this controller requires no programming from the researcher. A simple DAY or NIGHT setting allows the user to record only daytime or nighttime activities, as desired. This feature minimizes tape waste by excluding uninteresting intervals AND minimizes power consumption by completely shutting off the camera, recorder and any attached accessories during non-recording hours. The control automatically senses and compensates for sidereal interval changes. Works with ANY Sentinel System, without any modification.

Sentinel Sunrise/Sunset Video System Controller
Similar to our Day/Night controller but with one important difference. The Sunrise and Sunset Controller is designed for clients with specialized recording needs (such as bat researchers) which require recording intervals during twilight periods ONLY. This controller program begins recording at sunrise, records for two hours then shuts down the entire system. Two hours BEFORE sunset, the system restarts and records the two hour period BEFORE sunset. System power consumption during non-recording periods is eliminated. This digital microcomputer control senses ambient light and automatically compensates for sidereal interval changes. Setup is simple and no field programming is required. The kit controls camera, video recorder and any attached accessories. Works with ANY Sentinel System, without any modification.
